Malcolm joined Kelsall Steele as a trainee in 1986 and gained membership of the ACCA in 1997, also being promoted to Manager within the firm. Malcolm, a Member of the ICAEW, became a Director of Kelsall Steele in 2011.
Malcolm comes from a Cornish farming family and uses this interest and knowledge to advise clients on all issues surrounding farming and rural business. He also deals with the accounts and tax affairs of a range of small and medium-sized businesses, focusing on Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, succession planning and maximising client wealth.
Malcolm is Chairman of the West Cornwall Table Tennis League, and has represented Cornwall at all levels from Juniors through the Senior ranks, currently playing for the County Vets team. Malcolm is also Honorary Treasurer of Tennis Cornwall, acts as League Secretary administering all the league results and preparing league tables. Malcolm is also LTA Councillor for Cornwall which involves attending several meetings during the year at the National Tennis Centre at Roehampton. When not playing tennis or table tennis himself, he spends most of his free time watching and supporting his two sons or carrying out these administration roles.
