This year, Kelsall Steele have chosen Cornwall Wildlife Trust as our charity of the year. Throughout 2018 we will be raising funds through a number of different events and activities; from sweepstakes, bake-off competitions and dress down Fridays!
In 2015 we were able to raise over £1,000 for the Macmillan Cove Appeal, in 2016 we raised in excess of £1,500 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and last year we raised funds for Cornwall Hospice Care – this year we hope to raise a significant amount of money for this year’s charity Cornwall Wildlife Trust.
Cornwall Wildlife Trust are the leading local wildlife charity working to protect Cornwall’s wildlife and wild places. We have helped people enjoy nature for over 50 years. We are passionate about nature conservation and work only in Cornwall, so all money raised in Cornwall stays in Cornwall.

Dress Down Fridays
One of our main fundraising efforts each year is our ‘Dress Down Fridays‘ and we are continuing these this year. Our current total raised through our dress down Fridays is £212.16, in addition to this we have an almost full collection tin nearly ready for collection.
Grand National Sweepstakes
As another fundraising idea we decided to run an office sweepstakes on this year’s Grand National. At £1 a pick, we were delighted to raise £29 for the charity through the sweepstakes.
World Cup Sweepstakes
This year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia was a perfect opportunity for another office sweepstakes. For £2 a go staff were all able to pick a team in the hope they would have chosen the winner, however we also decided to throw in some additional prizes to make things more interesting! We included prizes for the following:
- World Cup Winner
- Worst Team
- Highest Scoring Team
- Dirtiest Team (most cards)
- Biggest Defeat
- Team that knocks out England
We were hoping not to be giving out a prize on the last one, but unfortunately it wasn’t to be this year. The World Cup sweepstakes has helped us to raise £50 for the charity!
